In signing this application we hereby waive and release all other contestants, the host, the host lake, sponsors and Tournament Committee and officials from all claims or injury and/or damage incurred in connection with this tournament. Operation Stop Bass and Crappie Tournament
Rules & Enrty Form
The following rules for the tournament will be used. Violation may result in disqualification of a team. Solely the Operation Stop Tournament Committee will interpret these rules and all decisions are final.
ELIGIBILITY: At least one team member per entered boat must be a current or retired BNSF employee
PRE-TOURNAMENT PRACTICE: The Tournament Lake is off limits to all registered participants the day of the tournament starting at 1:00 am.
ENTRY FORMS AND FEES: The entry forms and fees for the scheduled tournament is $50.00/boat. The entry form will be accepted until  6:30am May 9, 2008. If  you plan to mail the form, it should be sent to arrive no later then May 02, 2008.
TOURNAMENT CLASSIFICATIONS: Participants must choose below on the entry form to either the Tournament as a Bass Fisherman or as a Crappie Fisherman. Participants must choose one (1) and only one.
TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS: Tournament Headquarters will be at Hillsdale Lake, At Jayhawk Marina. The check-in site will be located at the marina. Check-in will be at one hour prior to the tournament starting time. The Bass tournament starts at 6:30 am. The Crappie Tournament to follow.
SAFETY: Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed by all participants at all times. All participants must observe and be in compliance with Kansas Conservation and Water Patrol Laws and Regulations. At the time of take-off, all participants are REQUIRED to wear life jacket, which must be securely fastened. All boats must have the appropriate Coast Guard safety devices. A kill switch is recommended on boats.
TACKEL AND EQUIPMENT:   For the Bass tournament participants - only artificial bait or lucre may be used. No live bait or prepared bait may be used other than pork type baits. The Crappie Tournament participants may use artificial baits and lures as well as live baits. No trolling is permitted. All bass and crappie must be caught on rod and reel. A landing net may be used.
BOAT IDENTIFICATION:  Each boat will be given a number to indicate the take-off order and live-well inspection order.
PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS:  Fishing is permitted anywhere within the tournament lake, except that no contestant is allowed to fish within 50 feet of a public boat dock or another contestant at any time.
LATE PENALTY: Should a team member return to the check-in site LATE, 1 pound of their total legal boat weight shall be deducted per minute, up to five minutes. Should a team return later than five minutes after the designated "weigh-in" time, they will be automatically disqualified?
TIES: The greatest number of fish will break HEAVY-BOAT ties. If the number of fish is identical then HEAVY-BOAT will be determined by BIG BASS/BIG CRAPPIE. HEAVY-BOAT will break BIG BASS/BIG CRAPPIE ties. If the ties cannot be broken by any of the above methods, a tie will be declared. Should a tie occur and be declared, the teams so tying shall split the awards as necessary. The same will apply to ties occurring in the lower places with references to breaking of ties and presenting awards.
SCORING: Bass Tournament participants may only count Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass and Smallmouth Bass. Teams may only enter up to six (6) Bass at 18" or longer. Crappie Tournament Teams may count up to  (40) Crappie at 10" or longer. Any short Bass or Crappie will result  in disqualification of that fish. Bass Tournament participants must take the utmost care of their fish and must return all Bass back into the lake.
